Chris Orme

Prior to retirement I worked for Essex County Council for nearly 40 years – most of that time working with school governing bodies.

I have been clerking governing body meetings since 1971 and I am currently clerk to the governors for twelve schools, working both for the Essex Clerking Agency and privately. I clerk Governing Body meetings and for committees in many of the schools.

I regularly clerk committees that consider pupil exclusions and have experience of clerking staff discipline hearings.

I am also a Chair of a governing body for a Colchester Primary School.
