Clerks' Induction Training - can you afford not to?

One clerk's experience of the training:

“Armed with little more than a sense of humour and some admin experience, I embarked on my Clerking career earlier this year. Enjoyable though the Governors meetings were, I was alarmed having attended the Clerks Conference (and a very enjoyable day it was too) at how much behind the scenes stuff I would need to know and be responsible for. In fact, one of the candidates on my table went straight back to her school and resigned!

I battled on and booked myself on the training induction for Clerks. What a wonderful surprise! Pam Langmead was so in touch with how we were feeling and despite being a Chair of Governors herself, seemed to know exactly what level of tuition would be beneficial to us as Clerks. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from this lady and left armed with confidence and the knowledge that I could contact Pam anytime for help and advice. I strongly recommend anyone to attend these days as they are invaluable.”

Are you a just embarking on your career as a clerk, or more experienced but in need of a refresher?
